| A Tale of Two CEOs
|
| This year's Women's Forum conference brought together some 800 men and women in Deauville and generated visiblity across Europe for the subject of women and their impact on the world. It also showcased two very different ways that CEOs and companies recognise the growing influence of women. Nissan/ Renault CEO Carlos Ghosn, a symbol of diversity with a childhood spread across Brazil, Lebanon, France and the US, acknowledged that the bottom line for him on gender was that it was "absolutely intolerable" to imagine that any of his three daughters might not be able to achieve their full potential; the audience loved him. Peter Brabeck, the CEO of Nestlé, when asked how many women there were on his Board and Executive Committee, reacted defensively, saying he didn't believe in quotas. The audience booed. The contrast between the two men and |

| their ability to talk 'bilingually' across genders could not have been more marked. Moving forwards, the companies and CEOs that 'get it' - and those that don't - are becoming increasingly visible. It was an important lesson for all the companies in the room. |

"This wide-ranging course on strengthening influence and impact has attracted women from across Europe, working for companies such as Alcatel, Deloitte, General Electric, PwC and Schlumberger ... this course is provocative and challenging"

"... une formation en leadership destinée aux femmes cadres. Elles vont y apprendre à developper leur influence et leur impact. Y découvrir les règles du jeu incontrournables pour progresser dans leurs carrière. Et finalement y élargir leur reseau."

| Inclusive Leadership Programmes for all Managers |
Increasingly, companies interested in developing more gender diverse management are realising they can't focus their efforts solely on women. So over the past few years, DIAFORA has seen companies increasingly requesting awareness-raising programmes aimed at all their managers - both male and female. DIAFORA has responded with its 'Inclusive Leadership' and 'Managing Bilingually' programmes that address issues like the business case for gender diversity, the gender differences that impact organisations and tips and tools for managing effectively across both genders. These programmes are increasingly the key investment that savvy companies make when addressing the issue of gender. For more information, contact us. |
